The mission of the Valley View School District as an educational community is to develop a rigorous and relevant curriculum and a nurturing environment which will empower all students with the resources and abilities needed to:
· become contributing members of our changing society
· access and process information into useful lifelong learning skills
· develop critical thinking and leadership skills and
· promote responsible citizenship.

Location:
The Valley View School District is located in Lackawanna County, 10 miles north of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses the boroughs of Archbald, Blakely, and Jessup.
Size:
The district covers approximately 52 square miles; 18,437 people reside within its boundaries of which 2,400 are Valley View students.
Buildings:
Four buildings house Valley View's 2,614 students. The buildings and grade levels include:

| Intermediate School | Grades 3-5 |
| Middle School | Grades 6-8 |
| High School | Grades 9-12 |
Meal Programs:
Breakfast and lunch is served in all
schools. There are free and reduced priced breakfasts and lunchs for
students whose family's income falls below certain levels.
