General Information
Valley View High School is a modern educational complex which houses grades nine through twelve. The school serves the communities of Archbald, Blakely, and Jessup. It is approximately nine miles north of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Courses are scheduled on a semester basis utilizing a "4 x 4 Block".
Professional Staff
There are 56 full time professional staff members. This includes teaching personnel, guidance, and administration.
Enrollment
There are approximately 823 students in grades nine through twelve. Approximately 71% continue their studies beyond high school.
Accreditation
Pennsylvania Department of Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
Marking System
All subjects are numerically graded with a grade below seventy (70) as failing. If conversion to a letter grade is essential, the following conversion is followed:
