Academic
The Academic Program is designed for students who plan to
enter college or other post secondary institutions. Students may choose from the
math, science, and language courses offered within the Academic Program. Students in
the accelerated program take courses in language and math one year in advance of
the regular Academic sections. Upon graduation they may accumulate a total of five (5)
or more academic units each in language and math. Honors English classes are available
in grades ten and eleven, leading to AP English in grade twelve.
Business
The business program is designed for students who are preparing for
secretarial, business, or office work upon graduation.
General
The General Program is designed for students who are interested in a general all-around
educational program. With the proper selection of courses, students in this program can
also continue with post secondary education.
Vo Tech
The Vocational Technical Program is designed for those who wish to prepare themselves
for a trade while in high school. Students have twenty-four courses from which to choose
and can begin matriculation into one of these areas in their sophomore year.
Students in this program spend half a day at the Career Technology Center which is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Electives
In addition to the required courses for each program,
electives are offered in English, Social Science,
Mathematics, Science, Art, Music, Technical Education,
Consumer Homemaking, Computer Science, Foreign Language,
and Business Education.
Advanced Placement
With the proper prerequisite, students may elect advanced placement courses in
French, Spanish, Calculus, English, Biology and Art.
