- MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Valley View School District as an educational community is to develop a rigorous and relevant curriculum and a nurturing environment which will empower all students with the resources and abilities needed to:
- become contributing members of our changing society
- access and process information into useful lifelong learning skills
- develop critical thinking and leadership skills and
- promote responsible citizenship.
- DIRECTIONS TO VALLEY VIEW HIGH SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL AND INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
From Routes 84, 380 and 81:
Take Route 6 East, the Governor Casey Highway. Take Route 6 East to Exit 5 – Jermyn/Mayfield.
At this exit, turn left off of the exit ramp onto Route 107. Take Route 107 to the traffic light at the bottom of the hill. Turn left at the traffic light onto Washington Avenue. Go approximately one mile, where Washington Avenue veers to the left. Do not go left. Stay to the right of the old gas station with the General Tire sign, this is the Eynon/Jermyn Road. Stay on this road to the top of the hill where there is a flashing yellow light. Turn left onto the school access road. The first building on the right is the Intermediate School. The High School and Middle School are approximately a quarter mile further down the road. Look for the parking lot near the flagpole which is between the high and middle school buildings.

Location:
The Valley View School District is located in Lackawanna County, 10 miles north of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses the boroughs of Archbald, Blakely, and Jessup.
Size:
The district covers approximately 51 square miles; 18,437 people reside within its boundaries of which 2,575 are Valley View students.
Buildings:
Four buildings house Valley View's 2,575 students. The buildings and grade levels include:

Meal Programs:
Breakfast is served at the high school and lunch is served in all schools. There are free and reduced priced breakfasts and lunchs for students whose family's income falls below certain levels.
